This article was written by Lisa Bucciarelli; who is a Spanish level one and AP Spanish teacher. She went to NECC 2007 and was excited to use the web 2.0 digital tools in her classroom. She did this by having her students create an e-portfolio of their course work using the free website myeport.com. She stated that she knew she had a students with a variety of technological abilities and addressed this by making sure students completely understood their assignments and made sure she just did not do it for them. She also provided the article with sample assignments she used in their e-portfolio.
Would it be easy to loose focus of the subject at hand when using technology in foreign language subjects?
I believe it could be but it extremely important for the teacher to first focus on the specific goal at hand then use the technology to aid in reaching that goal. I believe by adding in technology to the subject matter it allows for more creativity and students will learn more because they enjoy the assignment.
What would be the biggest challenge when integrating technology into different subjects?
I believe the biggest challenge would be the distraction level. If the student has a problem with the technical terminology used in describing the assignment they may be discourage from learning the subject at hand.

This article Keep Your Tweets To Yourself by John Ridley, expresses his negative opinions on social networking websites, in particular Twitter. He knows he sounds like a dinosaur to our new age technology but claims there is no point for people to communicate what they do on a daily basis.
What are the positive purposes for twitter?
I believe twitter can be used on a social level to help keep in touch with friends. It can also be used in the setting, for people who want to share their product with others and get their name out there. The way I have used twitter in my life has been for educational purposes. I was able to share and view others' ways of inter grating technology
Is it hard to constantly use twitter in everyday life?
No, I do not think it is difficult to use twitter considering the large amount of new forms of technology out there today. Twitter and many other forms of social networking can be accessed by cell phones and computers. Other forms of popular social networking are websites like Facebook or Myspace.

In this article the author Kohn, explained his opinion on using rubrics to grade students work. He claims that he does not like rubrics because educators have said rubrics make grading work quick and easy. He believes the assessment of students work should be looked at with more attention. He also stated that students then take less value in heir own work because they don’t believe they have to achieve as much in their assignments. He does say that rubrics can be used as long as used wisely. In order to use rubrics wisely they need to be created with specifications that pertain to the assignments and have much thought and effort put in when they are created.
What is your aspect on the use of rubrics for grading?
I believe a rubric’s value is at the teacher’s disposal. If the teacher sincerely reads at the assignment in full and takes an interest to all major and minor details they can be a beneficial way of organizing the assignment specifications and requirements. I believe if a teacher uses the comments to give a detailed description of why they gave that grade students can feel that their work is valued.
Are there specific subjects that rubrics work better with?
I believe that rubrics would work horrible for math considering the answers of math problems are either graded right or wrong, and the work shown should be considered when graded. Subjects like social sciences and writing material could be a better fit with rubrics because they could be better graded on a hit or miss basis. Rubrics seem to me to have a problem indentifying the grey matter between grades.

Excel Crossword- Nets 1,2&3
Crossword I use Microsoft Excel to create a crossword of different vegetables and fruits. The background was colored in purple and each cell had a specific letter in it. I customized the format of the beginning letters in each word. If the user got it wrong the letter will be red if they get it right the letter will turn green.
IMovie-Nets 2&3
I have used digital-age media the program, Imovie I have created a short film that is used as a public broadcast about the California State University, San Marcos’s Kellogg Library. I put in information about the hours and services of the Kellogg Library into this video piece in a creative way. This program can be used to communicate information to students, parents and peers.
